There are a wide variety of releases on offer in this collection of music. From established bands who have been around from many years to exciting new groups of musicians working together to create and develop fascinating and novel approaches to Jazz. As the show progresses we move from the conventional to the experimental. This one starts off fairly conventionally (well in the context of that I usually feature) but in the second half starts to examine some music which does fit the Different Noises title most accurately. In some sort of circular resolution it goes back to rock/punk towards the end. It’s good to mix some rock ‘n’ roll in with some of the more left-field material.
