Celebrating the music of Bassist and Composer William Parker. Beginning in the 1980s, Parker played with Cecil Taylor for over a decade, and he has led the Little Huey Creative Music Orchestra since 1981. The Village Voice named him "the most consistently brilliant free jazz bassist of all time" and DownBeat has called him "one of the most adventurous and prolific bandleaders in jazz". A selection of music from his extensive catalogue of over 50 albums as a leader.

With, in the end, there being 144 new music submissions during January it seemed inevitable that this one would take a little bit longer to gestate. Things sort of went adrift for a week or so but I buckled down. Anyhow here is the second Different Noises of 2024. As usual there is an eclectic mix of music from a range of disparate sources. A lot of jazz plus some very esoteric choices mixed in with some noisy offerings.
