A good part of the show features tracks from a compilation of 37 south east QLD (Australia) artists, who have mobilised to contribute tracks to raise funds in response to the unrelenting humanitarian crisis in Gaza. With the exception of a handful of tracks, Solidarity Soundwaves features pieces that have been newly created in reaction to the myriad of emotions brought up by the harrowing daily events that are (unbelievably) still occurring. Beginning in the 1980s, Parker played with Cecil Taylor for over a decade, and he has led the Little Huey Creative Music Orchestra since 1981. The Village Voice named him "the most consistently brilliant free jazz bassist of all time" and DownBeat has called him "one of the most adventurous and prolific bandleaders in jazz".  A selection of music from his extensive catalogue of over 50 albums as a leader.
